Quick Answer: The Toyota Innova Crysta comes with 205/65 R16 tyres on GX and VX variants and 215/55 R17 on the top ZX variant. In Bridgestone’s passenger range, the practical fit for both sizes is the Turanza, the comfort-focused line. Indicative online listing prices are about ₹8,900 per tyre for 205/65 R16 (Turanza 6i) and ₹11,700 to ₹13,650 per tyre for 215/55 R17 (Turanza T001 / T005A). That puts a set of four at roughly ₹35,600 for the 16 inch size and ₹46,800 to ₹54,600 for the 17 inch size, before fitting, balancing and alignment. This guide explains which size your Crysta uses, which Bridgestone range fits, what to check about load rating (it carries a full family), and how to get a fitted price.
Which Tyre Size Does Your Innova Crysta Use?
Public specification listings give two factory sizes for the Crysta:
| Variant | Factory Tyre Size |
|---|---|
| GX (7 and 8 seater) | 205/65 R16 |
| VX (7 and 8 seater) | 205/65 R16 |
| ZX (7 seater) | 215/55 R17 |
Sources: 91wheels variant list and Autocar India specifications. Sizes can differ by model year and by what a previous owner fitted, so always confirm from the sticker on your driver’s door pillar before ordering. If you have changed wheels, your size may be different again.
How to read the size: in 205/65 R16, 205 is the width in mm, 65 is the sidewall height as a percentage of width, and 16 is the rim diameter in inches. The 16 inch tyre has the taller sidewall, which is why it feels softer over bad roads. The 17 inch tyre looks sportier but has less cushion.
Which Bridgestone Range Fits the Innova Crysta?
Bridgestone’s range is organized by purpose. For these two sizes, the picture is simple:
| Range | Fit for Crysta? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Turanza | Yes, the main choice | Comfort-focused, listed in both 205/65 R16 and 215/55 R17 |
| Ecopia | Not in the Crysta sizes | Public listings show no 205/65 R16 or 215/55 R17 in the Ecopia range |
| Sturdo | Not in the Crysta sizes | Listed up to 16 inch, but not in 205/65 R16 |
| Dueler | Not a standard match | Built for SUVs, with listings in other sizes such as 225/65 R17 |
| Potenza | Not recommended | Sporty tyre, not a match for a family MPV |
So for an Innova Crysta, the realistic Bridgestone choice is Turanza, and which pattern you get (6i, T001 or T005A) depends on your size and current stock. For how the ranges differ, read types of Bridgestone tyres in India. Listings change, so we confirm stock for your exact size before you visit.
Why Turanza Suits the Crysta
Turanza is designed around a smooth ride and reduced road noise, for both highway and city use. That lines up with how most Crystas are used:
- Long family trips and airport runs, where a quiet cabin matters.
- Chauffeur-driven and travel use, where passenger comfort is the point.
- Mixed Bangalore roads, including ORR, Hosur Road and patched post-monsoon surfaces.
If you mostly want a cheaper tyre and are not sensitive to ride comfort, we can also show you other brands. See best tyres for Toyota Innova Crysta in Bangalore for a wider comparison.

Load Index: Don’t Skip This on a 7 or 8 Seater
The Crysta regularly carries a full load of passengers and luggage, so the load index on the tyre matters as much as the size. In the listings above, the same 215/55 R17 size appears with two different load indexes (91 and 94). A higher load index means the tyre is rated for more weight.
- Check your door-pillar placard for the required size, load index and speed rating.
- Never go below the load index your vehicle specifies.
- Ask for the load index in writing on the quote, not just “Turanza 215/55 R17”.
If a quoted tyre does not match the placard, ask why before you pay.
Pressure and Care for Your Crysta Tyres
Correct pressure is the single biggest factor in tyre life and safe handling on a heavy MPV, and it changes with load. Use the value on your door-pillar placard, not the maximum printed on the tyre sidewall. Our Innova Crysta tyre pressure guide covers it in detail.
Other habits that protect a set of Turanzas:
- Rotate tyres regularly, as an MPV wears front tyres faster.
- Check alignment after hitting a deep pothole or kerb.
- Inspect for cracks and age. Replace tyres older than about five to six years, even if the tread looks fine.
- Carry a good spare. On the Crysta this is a separate item to maintain, so check its pressure too.
For expected life, read how many km Bridgestone tyres last.
Before You Buy: 6 Checks
- Confirm size, load index and speed rating from the door-pillar placard.
- Check the manufacture date (DOT code). The last four digits show week and year. Avoid tyres much older than a year or two.
- Ask which Turanza pattern you are being quoted (6i, T001 or T005A).
- Get a fitted price that includes balancing, valves, disposal and GST.
- Buy from an authorized dealer so warranty claims work.
- Get alignment done when the new set goes on.
